The Goenkan curriculum is designed to ensure a wholesome and overall development of the child. The Goenkans today are known for the enigma in their persona as they stand apart with a disciplined demeanor, unflinching zeal to learn, responsibility of actions perseverance and sensitivity and above all the exuding confidence that comes with knowledge and sheer happiness in learning. The Co-curriculum at G.D. Goenka is given of paramount importance. School needs to be a space which is not completely alienated from the wide variety that forms the real world and yet safe and free for students to be able to think, act, create and explore….
Thus Co-curriculum activities are designed to replicate real-life situations for our young learners competitive events are a regular feature class III onwards while for Pre- primary students, most events are kept non-competitive in nature as each child is declared a winner, an exemplary performer… most of the co-curricular activities are intricately integrated with the curriculum in various themes and concepts of curriculum oriented learning.
Each idea is understood as a complete whole as per the G.D. Goenka philosophy. Small portions or half baked information never forms a Goenkan’s cup of tea at any age group. Values and concepts are integrated into stories that make our toddlers think, appreciate logic and to apply their knowledge thus imbibed.
